NEPA Valley Wine Train – September 27, 2025

Raise a glass and hop aboard—The NEPA Valley Wine Train is rolling back into town for 2025! This beloved experience pairs scenic train travel with local wine and food, brought to you by the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.

Departing Saturday, September 27at 1:00 PM from the Carbondale train platform.

Guests will enjoy:
🍷 Wine tastings at every stop—Carbondale, Archbald, and Jessup
🍽️ Lite food pairings by regional restaurants and vendors
🚂 A ride aboard a historic train through the beautiful Upper Valley
🛍️ A kickoff experience at the Carbondale station with tastings, music, and shopping

Tickets: $60 per person (Must be 21 to ride the train!)
A portion of the proceeds supports the Iron Horse Society, helping preserve the history and magic of railroading at Steamtown National Historic Site.

Steamtown Spirits: Night in the Archives

Unlock the doors to Steamtown’s most guarded treasures.

Steamtown Spirits: Night in the Archives is a rare after-hours experience featuring access to the park’s Museum Collection—home to over 4.6 million historic artifacts and archival materials.

Enjoy a welcome bourbon pour, then venture behind the scenes with Museum Curator Ann Roos and Historian Pat McKnight for a guided exploration of rarely seen treasures from America’s railroading past.

After the tour, return for three additional tastings, led by a local bourbon enthusiast and joined by Superintendent Jeremy Komasz, who will share insights into the collection’s role in preservation and the park’s future.

Perfect for bourbon lovers, history buffs, and preservation supporters alike, this one-night-only event blends craftsmanship, storytelling, and discovery.

Limited to just 15 attendees for an intimate, focused experience.
Tickets: $100 per person – advance purchase required. Must be 21 to attend.

Water Gap Limited – October 4, 2025

All aboard the Water Gap Limited! For one day only, ride the rails from East Stroudsburg to Slateford on the most scenic portion of the historic Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad. This special excursion is part of the Pickle Me Poconos Festival and offers festivalgoers a chance to see the dramatic Delaware Water Gap like never before.

Departing Saturday, October 4 at 12:45 PM from the East Stroudsburg Railroad Tower (31 Analomink St.)

Guests will enjoy:
🌊 A 90-minute, 15-mile round trip tracing the Brodhead Creek and running riverside through the Delaware Water Gap
🌄 Views of steep cliffs, forested slopes, and sweeping river scenery
🎙️ Live narration highlighting nature, wildlife, and the railroad’s storied history
🥒 Convenient departure right from the heart of the Pickle Me Poconos Festival

Join Santa on the North Pole Limited! You'll depart Steamtown National Historic Site behind the historic steam locomotive Baldwin No. 26 on an hour-long holiday trip through the Scranton Yards and Nay Aug Park.

Get into the holiday spirit by experiencing the sounds and tastes of the holiday season starting with an “All Aboard” from the Conductor!  Sing along with our roaming musicians as they play Christmas carols, and enjoy a holiday treat.
